Robin and Danny KlaesKnown for their love of celebrations, commitment to community service, and passion for bringing people together (not to mention their always being up for a good costume!), the dynamic duo of Robin and Danny Klaes brings unmatched enthusiasm to any event they chair or, for that matter, to any gathering they attend!

Described as humble, gracious, loyal, and spunky, Robin thrives on showering her precious family and dear friends with love. Her big heart and generosity have led her to be a member of the Junior League since 1994 and to serve in leadership roles with numerous organizations, including Trees of Hope and the Miller Outdoor Theater Advisory Board. Robin has also chaired events for Nutcracker Market, Judy’s Mission, Easter Seals, SEARCH and the Avondale House. Over the past three years, she has co-led events for the American Cancer Society, most recently steering the last two Cattle Baron’s Balls, which together raised $3.1 million. Robin is honored to be a 2026 Woman of Distinction!

Danny is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get the job done, logging countless hours in service to others in recent years. Much of Danny’s philanthropic work has been an extension of his dedication to family, as he is committed to whatever Robin undertakes. He has taken on leadership roles at his children’s schools, Episcopal High School and ROBS, and has dedicated service to the Men of Distinction luncheon—an annual event that has become a passion. Danny also serves as CFO of the family-owned holding company, which operates a diverse set of businesses within Charlie Thomas Enterprises and holds several Advisory Board positions throughout Houston.

Danny and Robin married in 1985 after meeting at the University of St. Thomas here in Houston. They remain in town to this day and are members of St. John the Divine and River Oaks Country Club. Best of all, their three adult children also live nearby. Robin and Danny agree that family is their highest priority and that raising their children is the most important work they’ll ever do.
