For Sippi and Ajay Khurana, the word service has always had a deep meaning and defines a way of life. So much so, that they named their daughter Seva, a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service. It is their hope that through their actions, they will emphasize the importance for their children, Shaan and Seva, to always be people for others.
Ajay Khurana is the President of Quantum Capital Group, where he oversees various aspects of the firm’s investment, fundraising, and operational activities. Ajay serves as Chairman of the firm’s credit and structured capital (QCS) Investment Committees and a member of the firm’s private equity and venture capital Investment Committees as well as Quantum’s Operating Committee. He serves on the Houston Symphony Endowment Board and on the Impact Fund for UNICEF USA.
Dr. Sippi Khurana is a board-certified Immunologist, Allergist and Rheumatologist. She has fully transitioned from a career in academic medicine and private practice to the nonprofit space. She serves on the International Council of UNICEF and is a director on the National Board of UNICEF USA. She serves on the Academic Institution Board for the Houston Methodist Hospital System and the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital board, and has co-founded the Swadesh Khurana Endowed Fellowship and the Balwant Khurana Neuroscience Center there. She is a Governing Director of the Houston Symphony and chairs the Education and Community Engagement Committee. Dr. Khurana also leads on the boards of the American Cancer Society, Pratham USA, St. Francis Episcopal School and the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
Together, their dedication continues to grow as they focus on the welfare of children through the lens of health, protection, education and respect. They firmly believe in the power of family philanthropy and in passing these ideals to their children and future generations as their philanthropic legacy.
