Larry MartinLarry currently serves as President of Houston-based Westwind Industries, a commercial real estate and development company. In addition to this role, he has served as President of Rio Nueces Ranch, a working cattle ranch in South Texas. Through his ranch, Larry has partnered with Texas A&M Kingsville on initiatives, including the “Texas Native Plant Program.”

Throughout his career, Larry has founded and managed multiple companies across industries such as contracting, material mining, site work, multi-story buildings excavation and solid waste disposal. He has been instrumental in founding several notable companies, including Sanifill, Frontier Waste Services, Lone Star Disposal, and Delta Waste Services.

In 2002, Mr. Martin was introduced to the Former Texas Rangers Association, and he currently serves as a Board Member. In his capacity as Director, he helped raise over $8 million to fund the bell tower construction, a Texas Ranger Ring of Honor, an 8,000-square-foot outdoor pavilion and an amphitheater. The Ring of Honor, dedicated to Larry’s legacy by the Rangers Foundation, pays tribute to the 500 Texas Rangers who were killed in the line of duty.

Larry is deeply committed to philanthropy. For over 42 years, his foundation has supported the Mission of Yahweh. He built Sister Gay’s Children’s Home, originally designed as a retirement residence for Sister Gay, her husband, and their 24 adopted children. Today, the home shelters homeless mothers and children as part of the Mission’s 10-building campus. Larry’s foundation recently pledged a $500,000 match for two new dormitories that opened in 2025, providing additional housing for Houston’s ever-growing homeless population.
