Lesha ElsenbrookLesha Elsenbrook is a second-generation native Houstonian and is proud to call this city her home. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she began her career as an oil and gas landman. After the birth of her first child, she chose to use her business skills in the non-profit sector and became a full-time volunteer.

Her main focus is education and serving women and children. She has chaired many fundraising events for various organizations, including the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes, Child Advocates, Yellowstone Academy, Houston’s A+, Houston Hospice, Houston Methodist Hospital, Spring Spirit, and more. She served as guild president for American Heart and for Yellowstone.

Her main charity has been the Ronald McDonald House of Houston, where she has served on the board for over 18 years, including acting as board president and chairman of their successful $24 million capital campaign. Recently, she has joined two committees with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and has been a member of the “Champagne Cowgirls,”  a women’s buying group that has raised over $3 million for rodeo scholarships.

Lesha’s Christian faith is a cornerstone of all she does and Second Baptist Church has been home to her for 40 years. She has served in various leadership roles and is currently a teacher in her adult Sunday school class. Her children were “lifers” at Second Baptist School, and she served as president of the parents’ board, booster club and many other roles during their tenure there.

Honors include “Woman of Distinction” by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, “Woman of Substance” by Mission of Yahweh, “Person on the Move” by MS Society and, along with her husband, “Distinguished Alumni Parents” by Second Baptist School.

Lesha and her husband, Tom, recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Traveling around the world is their new “hobby”. They have 3 grown children, Evan, Seth, who is married to Emma and Elyse, married to Drew. It is her greatest joy that they all live in Houston and enjoy spending time together as a family. She has a new grandson, Charlie and is enthusiastically embracing this new role.
