Amy and Rob Pierce have been married for 29 years. Amy, from El Paso, and Rob from Houston, met while attending the University of Texas at Austin. After Rob graduated from Georgetown Law School, the couple moved from Washington, D.C. to Houston, where Rob worked with Baker Botts. They then moved to New York City, where Rob joined Lehman Brothers Investment Bank. In 2004, the family moved back to Houston to reestablish their Texas roots.
While their children attended the school, Amy served on the board of Awty International School and led Awty’s inaugural Girl Scout Troop. In 2019, Amy and Rob chaired St. Francis Episcopal School’s Annual Fund and both are involved with Friends of Fine Arts and the SFES Capital Campaign Committee.
Amy served as Theatre Under the Stars’ (TUTS) Chairman of the Board from 2015 -2017, co-chaired TUTS’ 50th Anniversary Season, and is currently chairing TUTS’ capital campaign. She is Chairman of the Board of KNOWAutism, which promotes autism awareness and provides scholarships and financial resources to children affected by autism.
Amy is co-founder of The Houston 20, a growing movement of community leaders organized to fight against sex trafficking. She serves on the board of SEARCH Homeless Services and the couple was honored at the SEARCH 2018 annual luncheon. Amy also serves on the Board of The Women’s Fund and is the Vice Chair of UNICEF. Rob, who heads up TD Securities’ Houston office, serves on the Boards of Houston Children’s Charity and St. Francis Episcopal School.
In 2015, Amy was honored as an Easter Seals “Mothers of the Year” and was recognized as a “Woman of Substance” in 2017. She was selected as a “Woman of Distinction” in 2018.
Amy and Rob have worked to instill hearts for service, compassion for others, and the importance of education in their four children Kendall, Kyle, Kaitlyn, and Kamren. Kendall is a Junior at Tulane University, Kyle works in Houston and Kaitlyn and Kamren attend St. Francis Episcopal School. The family is joyfully members of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
