Susan and Dan Boggio focus their philanthropic endeavors towards helping children, animals and those most in need. Susan has been Board Chair of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF-USA, Southwest Region, Founding Board member-UNICEF International Council, Board member-BARC Foundation, Advisory Board -PACE girls’ school near Calcutta, India, Houston PetSet, Sight into Sound, and a Member of the anti-human trafficking Houston 20. They founded the Susan and Dan Boggio Fund for UNICEF, whose focus includes education, children with disabilities, and child trafficking.
Susan is a Psychology graduate of UNC-Charlotte, with post-graduate studies in both Comparative Religions and Philosophy at institutes of higher learning, including Ethics at Oxford University, England. Dan Boggio is a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology and is President and Founder of PBK Architects with multiple offices in Texas and California. PBK is one of the top-ranked Architecture firms in the United States.
Susan and Dan are the recipients of the UNICEF Helenka Panteleoni Global Humanitarian Award, Honorees for the Houston PetSet Gala, Texas Children’s Hospital Champions for Children, Children’s Assessment Center Award, Interfaith Ministries’ For All Humanity Award, Melcher Humanitarian Award by CAP, and have a girls’ school building named in their honor outside Calcutta, India. Dan and Susan have also been Special Guests of Honor at the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics at Oxford University, England.
Susan was honored as a Woman of Distinction by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, named one of Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women, Honoree for Interfaith Ministries’ Animeals program and honored as a Woman of Substance by the Mission of Yahweh. Dan is on the Board of Interfaith Ministries, was honored at “Una Notte de Italia,” benefiting Bo’s Place and is a recipient of the prestigious Carlisle Education Award. Dan and his firm, PBK, have donated multiple resources to build the Child Legacy vocational center in Malawi, a Community Center in Rwanda, a girls’ school near Calcutta, among other local projects, including the CAP shelter and Interfaith Ministries.
Susan and Dan live by the heartfelt motto that “There’s nothing more important in the world one can ever do than improve the quality of life and relieve the suffering of others, whether human or animal.”
