Spirit of Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show
Celebrates 22 Years of Donor Impact

Three hundred well-dressed ladies and gentlemen made the Royal Sonesta Houston ballroom a special place late last month as Children’s Assessment Center celebrated its 22nd annual Spirit of Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show.

Much-needed dollars were raised thanks to the successful efforts of Chairperson Lily Schnitzer, Honorary Chair Ursaline Hamilton, sponsors, underwriters and guests.

ABC-13 News Anchors and Emcees Chauncy Glover and Mayra Moreno welcomed guests and recognized honoree and Past Executive Director Elaine Stolte who received last year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The CAC’s mission is to protect children, heal families, and prevent sexual abuse and child sex trafficking. As child sexual abuse becomes increasingly pervasive, The CAC’s ability to support this vulnerable population is imperative. The vision of CAC is a world free of child sexual abuse. Activist, child sexual abuse survivor and guest speaker Kaitlyn Urenda-Culpepper, shared her story and stated that, “I kept fighting for others because if you recover loudly, you might prevent others from suffering silently.”

The always lively Elizabeth Anthony Fashion Show presentation, produced by Ursaline Hamilton, included a special appearance by Alice Temperley of Temperley London.

Sponsors and underwriters are extremely important in the life cycle of an event and for the longevity of a charitable organization. Underwriters were: Elizabeth Anthony, Glenda and Russell Gordy, Air Liquide, Texas Children’s Hospital, H-E-B, Kelley Lubanko, Kelli Weinzierl, and Jordan Seff.
