It Was All About the Kids at Angels of Hope Luncheon & Neiman Marcus Fashion Presentation for Child Advocates

By Scott Evans, Publisher

Kids were forefront and center at the 21st annual Angels of Hope Luncheon and Neiman Marcus Fashion Presentation at The Post Oak Hotel.

More than 500 guests enjoyed lunch and welcomed chairperson Wendy Wilkins Burks to the stage to honor long-time court appointed advocate Jane Dabney, who related how it only takes one person to make a difference in a child’s life. Guest speaker Marcia Vilas, also a court-appointed advocate, spoke eloquently about several cases in which she was involved and the need for more volunteer advocates to speak up for abused and neglected children in foster care.

Neiman Marcus was proud to showcase featured designer Kobi Halperin’s 2020 resort collection with Page Parkes models gracing the runway.

Special guests included twelve teens (currently being served by Child Advocates) who received a makeover and new outfit styled just for them, as well as etiquette lessons from Page Parkes.

Socially present: Neiman Marcus GM Stephen Brunelle, Linda Lighthouse Transier, Bridgette Kalai, Hannah Laster, Patrick Fertitta, Laura Davenport, Tiffany Wong, Brandi Maxwell, Paige Fertitta, Ellie Francisco, Ericka Bagwell, Lesha Elsenbrook, and David Peck.
