A River Oaks Home Blasts Off the 21st Annual “Mint Julep” Kick-Off

The cosmic, crowded, and classy River Oaks home of Richard Werner and Tony Bravo was the launch pad for the 21st Annual Mint Julep Kick-Off. Chair Tony Bravo, along with chairs Cyndy Garza Roberts and Ray Purser, welcomed honorees Linda Cantu, J.D. Doyle, and Doug Boyd, aka Kimberly Anne O’Neil, and enthusiastic supporters. Their combined endeavors raised $80,000 for this worthwhile effort.

For more than three decades, Legacy Community Health’s HIV/AIDS programs and services have been a staple to the community, and the proceeds from the event provide life-saving services to those in need. Its CEO, Bobby Hilliard, Jr., remarked, “Legacy’s Mint Julep is a celebration of the community and our commitment to providing vital healthcare services to those in need. We’re excited to blast off into space and raise funds for a great cause.”

This intergalactic “Sunday Funday” gathering—always one of the most anticipated events of the year—will be held on July 16th at White Oak Music Hall and free to everyone aged 18 and older.

Put on your space boots and celebrate, along with HAL 9000, 2023: A Space Odyssey for Legacy Community Health. It promises once again to be an afternoon to remember.
