Beth WolffBeth Wolff’s roots run deep in Houston, with her paternal great-grandparents arriving in the late 1800s. At the University of Texas College of Business Administration, she was recognized as an outstanding senior.

In 1974, Wolff became the sole supporter of her two young children. She chose real estate as a career for its time flexibility and income potential.

In May of 1978, with one sales associate in 375 square feet of office space, Wolff & Associates, Inc. was founded.  By July, the company added space, something it would do five times in its first 10 years, until moving to its current location. Encouraged by a former statewide magazine (Ultra Magazine), the company name was changed to Beth Wolff Realtors.

Mayor Kathy Whitmire first appointed Beth to a city commission. Mayors Bob Lanier, Lee Brown, Bill White, and Annise Parker have continued to appoint Beth to commissions. Beth has been involved with many firsts for the city, including the first house built by Houston Habitat for Humanity, the convention center hotel, and the Quality of Life Coalition. She chaired the Houston Association of Realtors in 1992, the largest trade association in Houston at that time.

Selected as a “Woman on the Move” in 1989, Beth continues to serve in leadership positions. She was a Leadership Houston Class III graduate and served as chair of Keep Houston Beautiful. She volunteered on the boards of the Better Business Bureau, the Greater Houston YMCA, the Greater Houston Partnership, the American Red Cross, and the Symphony League. Beth is a graduate of the Center for Houston’s Future.

She is honored to be in the Junior Achievement Hall of Achievement in Biztown and the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber Hall of Fame. Beth is honored to be a Woman of Distinction. a Texas Children’s Hospital Community Champion, Citizens for Animal Protection Honoree, as well as the recipient of the Extraordinary Philanthropy Award from “Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate.”

Beth’s desire to give back to our community comes from her gratitude for the opportunities Houston has provided her. Most recently, Beth received the Houston Business Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
