Guests “Came Home” to Glassell School of Art Benefit
The Glassell School of Art hosted its annual Benefit Gala, welcoming 150 guests to its beautiful facility to revel in our state’s love of “Homecoming” celebrations. A giant pastel “Homecoming” mum was placed at the event’s entrance, and guests used this moment as a quick photo backdrop before making their way to the PNC Roof Garden to enjoy sunset cocktails and view the Med Center and downtown skylines.
As the reception ended, attendees were invited inside the school, where The Events Company’s “Homecoming” décor choices of colorful streamers, multicolored linens, and hot pink chair sashes prepared them for a gala evening of high-school memories. Glassell School students and staff joined in the décor festivities as well by creating decorative in-house ceramic centerpieces available for purchase. City Kitchen wowed the diners with a delectable multicultural meal presentation.
After a delightful dinner, the party moved back to the rooftop for the After-pARTy, enlivened by the sounds of Houston’s own DJ Flash Gordon Parks. Some guests took the opportunity to explore Glassell’s current exhibitions. The evening concluded on a high note, with an incredible $150,000 raised for the ongoing work of the renowned Glassell School of Art.
