Andy Delery is passionate about working actively to support Houston’s arts and charitable organizations, including the countless non-profits to which she has given most of her time.

Andy has served on boards for Houston Grand Opera, Moores School of Music, Society for the Performing Arts, Woman’s Club of Houston, Museum of Fine Arts, and Houston Symphony and has chaired their events. Medical groups benefitting from her work include Cancer Fighters of Houston, Inc., the Cancer League, Inc., American Heart Association, Harris County Medical Society Alliance, The Women’s Fund for Health Education and Research, the Partnership for Baylor College of Medicine, and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Citizens for Animal Protection and the scholarship efforts of Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo are among her humanitarian causes. Andy is a founding member and currently a director of Joyful, Toyful Fiesta, Inc., which is celebrating the 16th year of collecting toys for underprivileged children to be distributed for Christmas.

Andy has received numerous awards including: one of Houston’s “Ten Elite” of 1987 for the Citizens for Animal Protection Celebrity Paws Gala, the Citizens for Animal Protection Celebrity Paws Hall of Fame recipient in 2004, the Cancer League, Inc. Pacesetter of the Year in 1989, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Women of Distinction in 1992, Honoree for The Friends of The Moores School of Music in 1992, the Cancer Fighters of Houston, Inc. All-American Award in 1993, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Gold Key Appreciation Award in 1995, Volunteer of the Year for The Moores School of Music in 2000, and a “Hats Off To Mothers” honoree at United Cerebral Palsy Guild’s Luncheon in 2001.

Andy celebrated her 46th wedding anniversary last August to Dr. Clotaire “Del” D. Delery, with whom she has two children and four grandchildren.
