Champagne reception followed by the Opening Night Concert at 7:30 PM celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Led by conductor Steven Reineke, the Houston Symphony presents a dazzling program featuring acclaimed mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and special guest Matthew McConaughey. The program features beloved songs by George Gershwin, classics from the Great American Songbook, and Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, creating a powerful tribute to America’s rich artistic heritage. After experiencing the magic of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, you will be transported to the Corinthian Houston for the Gala, which includes an elegant seated dinner with wines selected by Lindy & John Rydman of Spec’s Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods. Valet service will be available for all Gala guests; simply arrive at Jones Hall and depart from the Corinthian.
