DeeDee and Wallis Marsh are committed to helping Houstonians, especially children, through both service and generous giving.

Wallis Marsh graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in petroleum engineering and has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 28 years and is currently the owner of The Extex Companies as well as participating in other oil and gas ventures. Wallis has served on the boards of the Touchdown Club of Houston and Elves & More (now CYCLE) and chaired the American Heart Association Bear Bryant Football Coach of the Year awards for three consecutive years. He serves on the Board of the Lombardi Foundation Charity and has been instrumental in creating their first major fundraiser “A Night with Gridiron Greats.” He is also a member of the Vestry at St. Francis Episcopal Church and serves as its representative on the St. Francis Episcopal School Board of Trustees.

DeeDee Marsh is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Southern Methodist University School of Law and currently serves as controller and counsel to The Extex Companies. She has served on the boards of St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool, Trees of Hope (including a term as Board President) and Houston Children’s Charity. DeeDee believes in being a hands-on participant in Houston’s philanthropic community and has co-chaired many events including Star of Hope Haute for Hope Luncheon, Trees of Hope Gala, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s Winter Ball, and Duchesne Academy’s Extravaganza. DeeDee is a former ABC 13 Woman of Distinction and Easter Seals Hats Off To Mothers Honoree.

However, their favorite way to support their favorite charities is to chair events together as they did for back-to-back years at the Elves & More Bicycle Ball, National Junior Tennis Learning, Houston Can Academy, Blue Cure and for five years as co-chairs or honorary chairs of Touchdown for TEACH. They also support higher education, supporting Texas A&M University and making significant gifts to The University of Oklahoma for Student Housing and Athletic Programs.
Wallis and DeeDee have two beautiful children, Jack and Julia, of whom they are very proud.
