For more than three decades, Lisa and Jerry Simon have shared a deep commitment to service, generosity, and community leadership. Grounded in faith and gratitude, they have devoted their time, energy, and resources to strengthening the institutions that make Houston a thriving, compassionate city.
Lisa serves as Chairman of Morris Strategic Investments and President of the Joella and Stewart Morris Foundation, continuing her family’s distinguished legacy of philanthropy and civic engagement. She serves on the Boards of the Memorial Hermann Foundation, the Memorial Hermann Health System, Uptown Houston, and her alma mater, Houston Christian University. Her thoughtful leadership and ability to unite people around meaningful causes have left a lasting mark on every organization she touches.
Jerry is Managing Director at The Northern Trust Company, where for more than 30 years he has advised families on asset management, stewardship, legacy, and philanthropy. A Vietnam-era veteran and former paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, he is also a commercial-rated pilot who continues to serve through aviation—having flown more than 200 missions over the past 18 years with Angel Flight and Veterans Airlift Command, transporting patients and veterans to and from specialized medical care at no charge. He currently serves on the Board of Visitors for MD Anderson Cancer Center, is a Trustee Emeritus of Goodwill Industries of Houston after three decades of board service, and has served on The Center for Performing Arts Medicine for Houston Methodist for 17 years. He served 15 years on the Houston Symphony Governing Board and 6 years as a Trustee of the Houston Symphony Endowment.
Together, Lisa and Jerry have chaired many of Houston’s most significant charitable events—including the Houston Symphony Gala “Hip to Be Square,” the Memorial Hermann “Can’t Stop the Feeling” Gala, the Circle of Life Gala, the American Heart Association Gala, and the Razzle Dazzle Luncheon, which supports breast cancer outreach and early detection.
