andress lilly A native Houstonian Lilly has been volunteering for the past twenty-five years. She is currently serving as the first President of the newly chartered Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary as well as a member of the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army Houston Area Command.

Lilly has served as President of the Houston Symphony League, the American Heart Association Guild, and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and is currently on the Board of Directors of Partners, Board of Directors of Sheltering Arms, the Advisory Board for the San Jacinto Girl Scouts, Board of Directors of Houston Symphony League, and the Board of Directors of American Heart Association Guild.

Lilly has been a member of the Blue Bird Circle since 1991, where she volunteers at the Blue Bird Circle for Pediatric Neurology at Texas Children’s Hospital. She has served on the Board of the Blue Bird Circle, as well as Co-Chairman of their 1994 Gala and Co-Chairman of the 2003 Fashion Show and Luncheon.

Lilly is a member of the Best Dressed Hall of Fame, and has twice been named a Women of Distinction. Recently Lilly was honored at the 90th Anniversary of the Houston Symphony, and she and her husband, Thurmon, were saluted as 2004 Pacesetters of the Year by the Cancer League.

Over her volunteer career, Lilly has chaired the Houston Symphony Ball, the first Chairman of the Maestro Collection, the Heart Ball Chairman, co-chaired the Shepherd School of Music Gala, the Best Dressed Luncheon, and Chairman of several Opening Night Galas for the Houston Symphony.

Lilly is a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in mathematics, and a former high school teacher.

Lilly and Thurmon have been married for ten years, and share their active lives with a Welsh Corgi puppy named Mason.
