Seeds Were Generously Planted at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services “Generosity Grows, Join Our Garden Gala”

Seeds were planted at the “Generosity Grows, Join Our Garden Gala,” as 500 supporters raised $1.3 million at Hilton Americas-Houston for the care of the elderly residing at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services.

Lending their support, Chairs Cindy & Gary Greenberg and Gail & Gary Swartz, Honorary Chairs Rhona and Bruce Caress and Honorees Vicky and Michael Richker were thrilled with the fantastic and generous turnout. Also recognized were Auction Chair Bonnie Winograd and new Chief Executive Officer of Seven Acres and The Medallion, Marsha Cayton.

The cocktail reception was filled with wonderful auction items, raffle tickets, Giving Trees, chances to play “Heads or Tails,” and specialty drinks at the martini bar. The David Caceres Band played the evening’s entertainment throughout the reception and dinner, which included plenty of dancing opportunities, which the energetic crowd enjoyed!

Emcees Linda Lorelle (whose mother is a Seven Acres resident) and Khambrel Marshall opened the dinner with a lively game of “Heads or Tails.” The aforementioned honorees were introduced by daughter Elizabeth Warren and son Jonathan Richker and Joyce Proler Schechter. Honoree Michael Richker then broke into his rendition of Everything’s Coming Up Roses with Seven Acres lyrics interspersed in the song! Guests loved it!

From the seeds planted, the organization’s future growth and success can be celebrated.
