Rat Pack Entertains 200 at Pearl Ball’s “Supper Club 35” and Brings “Ol’ Blue Eyes” to Houston!

Texas’ largest private grantor of scholarships to our state’s nursing students, Good Samaritan Foundation, held its 35th annual Pearl Ball, and turned River Oaks Country Club into a “Supper Club,” complete with Marilyn Monroe and “Rat Pack” entertainment. With the valuable support of chairpersons Courtney & Jason Fertitta and Lauren & Warren Harris, honorees Susie & Mel Glasscock, and 200 attendees, $250,000 was raised, which is double the amount raised from 2022!

A gourmet Italian dinner was on the menu, and while guests dined on the Tuscan fare, live jazz music added to the ambiance. Board Member Jacquelyn Ward was charged with emcee duties and recognized Executive Director Melissa King for her years of service. A touching moment occurred during the program, and that was when every nurse in attendance was asked to stand and was recognized for their tireless efforts and tremendous contributions to the medical field.

Finally, the Rat Pack Playoff, led by well-known Frank Sinatra tribute artist, Brian Duprey, took the stage and captivated guests throughout the night, ending with guests on the dance floor singing and dancing together to the iconic tune, “New York, New York.” A “Big Apple” salute to a “Supper Club Night” gives long-standing applause to this celebrated Houston organization.
