A Jeweled Stroll and Portrait Unveiling at Citizens for Animal Protection Gala Kickoff
Every November, Citizens for Animal Protection hosts its annual gala, a joyous celebration that brings together supporters to raise much-needed funds to help shelter, rescue, and place homeless animals for adoption. Renowned jeweler de Boulle in River Oaks Shopping District opened its doors to 120 partygoers to kick off the annual event. The evening was made even more special with the unveiling of the honorees’ portraits, captured by the equally renowned portrait photography studio Gittings. Gittings’ Manager, Andy Cordes, was on hand to share in the celebration as the honorees viewed their framed portraits for the first time.
Event chairs Angela Hernandez and Carson Brown welcomed the guests of honor and special invitees to this jeweled affair by recognizing those walking the runway with their pets on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at The Post Oak Hotel. Honorees and those who will be taking bows and barks at the gala include Ben Ackerley, Allison & Nick Boulle, Clark Caperton, Andy Cerota, Dana & Blake Fertitta, Brittany Hildebrand, Kirby & David Lodholz, Dr. Monica Patel & Calvin Krall, Daphne & Steve Savva and Megan & Keith Waldrop. Also receiving well-deserved love are Andy Cordes and Gittings, Ben Berg, Bram Kohlhausen and his service dog Chip, Junior Honorees Alexandra, Elizabeth, and Julianna Lowenberg, and Cherished Companions Debbie Berman and Cassandra Carpentier.
Bari, one of Houston’s dining hotspots, provided lite bites for everyone to enjoy as they marveled at the exquisite de Boulle jewelry. The generosity of our gala sponsor, West Houston Subaru, was a highlight of the evening, receiving non-stop applause as they announced their donation of a new Subaru Crosstrek Premium.
Tables, tickets and raffle tickets are still available for this 52nd annual celebration, entitled “Best in Snow.” For more information, contact Kappy Muenzer at 281.705.0686 or Kappycap@comcast.net.
