Landmark Anniversaries Were Celebrated for The Mission of Yahweh at Neiman Marcus-The 2021 Women of Substance Were Announced
Celebrating five years of The Women of Substance Awards and 60 years of The Mission of Yahweh sheltering homeless women and children created a golden moment at Neiman Marcus on Tuesday evening. The occasion was the announcement of this year’s honorees who will be featured at the Women of Substance luncheon on November 5 at the Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston.
The Women of Substance luncheon honors those women who have been blessed with an irrepressible spirit and dynamic energy, using that power, that enviable reputation, influence and prestige to serve others and the community in general.
The 2021 honorees include Yvonne Cormier, Brigitte Kalai, Samantha Kennedy, Judi McGee, Mary Ann McKeithan, Linda McReynolds, Kristina Somerville, Betty Tutor, Donna Vallone, Vicki West, Phyllis Williams and Ramona Yauger. Receiving the first-ever Mission of Yahweh Legacy Award is Lotty Gautschi, the Spirit of Substance Award recipient is Deborah Duncan and the Lifetime of Substance Award Recipient is Sybil Roos.
Handling the emcee presentation, myself and event creator and producer, Paul-David Van Atta who immediately introduced Chris Hendel, the General Manager and Vice President of Neiman Marcus and Heather Almond, Brand Experience Manager to welcome the audience of 100.
Leading the applause were many past Women of Substance honorees, this year’s chair Joanna Hartland Marks, honorary chair Sidney Faust, Beth Wolff, Lilly Andress, Monica Hartland, Diane Gendel, Susan Boggio, Carolyn Faulk, Betty Hrncir, Kim Moody, Alicia Smith and former chair, Susan Arnoldy Hansen.
