The Classic I W Marks Jewelers Marks its 45th Anniversary with a Classic Family-Friendly Party

Beloved local Houston jewelry store I W Marks, still fresh from a well-deserved renovation this past year, celebrated its 45th anniversary with visits from local customers, some with their children. The showroom was filled with stunning jewelry pieces, and trunk shows were hosted by Sloan Street and Lauren Craft.

Still in its original iconic Bellaire storefront, guests were invited inside to shop (with a percentage of the sales donated to Houston Children’s Charity) and then amble outside, where a picnic was set up in the parking lot under a beautiful tent. Tables were covered in blue and white gingham tablecloths, and hungry people nibbled on Truth BBQ, the “smokin’ hot” award-winning Houston eatery in the Heights. IW Marks President Brad Marks and General Manager Ray Golden wanted to create a signature beer to commemorate the anniversary. So they partnered with 8th Wonder Brewery, where they produced a signature craft beer by choosing the flavors and tastings and proudly debuted Eye-Dub Brewberry at the event. I W Marks’ graphic design partner, You Squared, designed the beverage’s logo, with the faces of the store’s patriarch and his wife’s faces built into the graphics.

The afternoon’s festivities continued with activities for the kids, which included face painting, a balloon artist and a caricaturist. With the help of entertainment company Richard Brown MusicNobody’s Fool, a country/western trio, played lively tunes throughout the day, adding to the upbeat energy.

Upon leaving, attendees were gifted a stylish blue cooler, sized perfectly to fit a six-pack of the signature I W Marks-45 brew. This 45th-anniversary family-friendly event was a vibrant celebration in honor of I W Marks’ generations of service and steadfast standing in the Houston community! The joyful faces of those supporting this jeweler over the past four-and-a-half decades would have made the founder smile—from “ear to earring”!
