“Arranging” a Bourbon and Bubbles Mission for Beloved CAP

“Arranging” a Bourbon & Bubbles Mission for Beloved CAP

If the “neat” or “mixed” essence of corn mash whiskey and the effervescence of champagne brings you joy, then the elegant furniture and décor company, The Arrangement, on Post Oak Boulevard was the recent destination for over 200 aficionados, where over 100 bottles were on display, as Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) went on a Bourbon & Bubbles Mission to support their annual November gala, themed “Mission:  Pawsible.”

Chaired by Jody Merritt and Christine Johnson, this dynamic diva duo has created an event (with the assistance of event coordinator Ellie Francisco, the staff at CAP, and a team of volunteers and supporters) that promises to be a jam-packed, entertainment-filled, pet-friendly sell-out. The substantial number of bottles of spirits and sparkling wines donated and assembled for the upcoming event’s Bourbon & Bubbles Pull is just one of the many surprises ahead for attendees! Although not a surprise, the year 2023 makes a baker’s dozen of Subaru automobiles that longtime sponsors and contributors Gloria & Frank Meszaros, owners of West Houston Subaru, have graciously donated. Fifteen-hundred $50 raffle tickets will be sold leading up to the gala, and the winner chosen that night will receive a 2024 Subaru Outback.

Cheers greeted the Honorees as they and their pets were introduced, including Carson Brown, Dr. John Cangelosi and Natasha “Tosh” Minor, Angela Hernandez, Daniel Irion and Kirk Kveton, Brigitte Kalai, Sharron Melton, Sarah Pepper, Dr. Roxy Riefkohl, Morgan and Kenny Webster and Rebecca and Anthony Yanez, who will strut the runway in November with their beloved pets.

CAP, one of Houston’s most cherished charities, is celebrating its 51st year of providing shelter, rescue, and placement of homeless animals for adoption with loving families. Mission:  Pawsible, “should you choose to accept it …,” ignites on November 18th at Post Oak at Uptown. For more information on tickets, tables, and the raffle, contact 281.705.0686 or email Kappycap@comcast.net. Mission:  Accomplished!
