“The Golden Age of Air Travel” Visits the 2022 Jet Setters Ball
Glowing lights and exciting music welcomed guests to the Lone Star Flight Museum’s annual Jet Setters Ball, where 300 creatively clad guests, including sponsors James C. & Teresa K. Day Foundation, helped raise almost $650,000 to support LSFM’s mission.
The evening’s abundant festivities in the Heritage Hangar were highlighted with stratospheric décor from The Events Company, a delectable gourmet meal, paddle raise and live auction with auctioneer Rusty Merlink, big board, entertainment, cocktails, dancing, a walk through a step-inside aircraft, and a virtual plane ride. “The Golden Age of Air Travel” co-chairs Mary & David Novelli and Kim & Brett Williams were “over the moon” with the turnout.
Local Houston radio personality Freddy Cruz served as the evening’s emcee and introduced the Museum’s President and CEO Lt. Gen. Doug Owens, who spoke about the amazing work achieved by the organization and plans for the new year.
The 130,000-square-foot Lone Star Flight Museum is home to the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame and more than two dozen rare and historic commercial, general aviation and military aircraft.
If you want to experience a wonder of flight in a warbird ride or get hands-on in the high-tech Aviation Learning Center and Flight Academy, a visit to this celebrated facility is highly recommended, where a twenty-minute ride from downtown Houston will have you at their Ellington Airport front door!
