John and Kristi Schiller have been champions to those without a voice for over a decade. Between the dynamic duo, they have championed over a dozen causes focused on children, mental health, law enforcement and academia.

John D. Schiller Jr.’s career in the oil and gas business spans three decades. Mr. Schiller is the Founding Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Energy XXI. Mr. Schiller serves on the Board of Directors of the Alley Theatre and the Escape Family Resource Center. At Texas A & M University, his alma mater where he graduated with honors, he serves on the 12th Man Foundation Board of Trustees along with the Look College of Engineering Council. Mr. Schiller is the recipient of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award and the Aggie 100 Businesses presented by the Mays School of Business.

Kristi “KK” Schiller, a fifth-generation Texan, is the embodiment of a true Texas lady, from her larger-than-life personality to her can-do attitude. Her parents instilled in her at an early age the importance gifting through such mantras as “those that can, do” and that giving was as much “money as it was time, ideas and sweat equity.” Kristi studied broadcast journalism at the University of Houston, worked in radio/television and launched an entertainment-based website, one of the first of its kind.

Forbes Magazine acknowledged her pioneering efforts by naming her “Queen of the Internet.” Schiller is most known for the creation of K9s4COPs. Since its inception in 2010, the foundation has awarded more than eighty K9s to law enforcement agencies thereby aiding in the removal of millions of dollars’ worth of narcotics and munitions from our communities. In fall of 2013, Schiller launched the K9s4KIDs initiative to provide K9s to enhance school security in hopes of preventing another Sandy Hook tragedy.

The quintessential Texans, the Schillers enjoy raising—and riding—champion Quarter horses and spending quality time at their College Station ranch with their family—their daughter Sinclair as well as John’s children Hailey and Daniel and their respective spouses and children.
