Socialbook.com has undergone a complete visual make over, but the mission still remains the same. In working with our friends/web provider, Content Active, we have overhauled our system in order to better serve the Houston and Dallas philanthropic and charity communities. Aside from the sleek look of the site, there are a number of functional additions which allows for a more user-friendly experience whether on your computer, tablet, or cell phone.
The new, editorial-focused site showcases the latest news and events around town through the slider at the top of the main page. Additionally, blog pieces ranging from social etiquette, tips to throwing the perfect event, and the latest industry trends as told by our vendors are featured under Media and will continuously update on the site and through our social media platforms.
An emphasis on connecting people and businesses is a central focus of our new website. Check out our videos on the main page of the latest events in the area. Also, browse around the People tab to see a comprehensive listing of our Houston Treasures dignitaries, as well as members of the Chairman’s Yearbook and Boardroom both past and present.
Looking to plan an event? Not a problem, we’ve got you covered. Log in and take a look at our comprehensive and premiere social Calendar. Then head on over to our Vendors tab to research and select the best businesses in town to help you pull off your special occasion.
The new socialbook.com is designed for user interaction, and we want to hear from you. Take a look at the Forms option listed under The Social Book section in order to submit an event for us to feature on our social calendar, designate your honorees, list your board members, or showcase a photograph of the event chairperson. Send us photos from your event and we’ll display them under our Snapshots for all to see. Also, reach out to us on Facebook at “The Social Book” or on twitter @thesocialbook.
Our goal is to continue to provide the best service in connecting our people and businesses with local charities, non-profits, and fundraising causes. We couldn’t do what we do with you, so thank you for all that you do for our communities. We’re thrilled to welcome you to our new home on the web, and let’s keep those who do, doing!
